Steps

Add salt and a drizzle of olive oil to a pot of water

Bring water to a boil.

Gently add pasta to boiling water.

Stir pasta gently once to prevent sticking.

Cook pasta for 4 minutes.

Once cooked, drain the pasta or ladle pasta into sauce.

Fresh pasta takes considerably less time to cook than dry.

The size/ thickness of pasta varies the cooking time.

An electric stove can vary the cooking time.

Taste test for readiness. Pasta should be al dente.

Al dente pasta should be firm to the bite but still tender. If there is slight resistance when you bit into it, it is likely al dente.
